Venue
Min Jiang is located at a fairly central location. Surrounded by landmarks like the Botanic Gardens, Orchard Road and Holland Village. For more info about the venue, you can visit the website
Place to Stay
Singapore is a well-connected country with public transportation everywhere. That said, I would recommend picking a place that is near to a an MRT station. Most of the places you would be visiting would be in the central to central-east side so pick a hotel/hostel that is near an MRT and is in that general vicinity based on your budget
Things to do
Some of the more popular tourist attractions include Marina Bay Sands (the hotel with the boat on top), Gardens by the bay, Sentosa (its just a beach), Museum (the museums here are actually pretty damn good and cheap too), Clark Quay (night activities). Ideally, going around from one food place to another food place could be a trip on itself. Here is a good reddit thread on things to do
Food to try
There is a non-exhaustive list of things to eat in Singapore. Almost anything here is worth trying especially because of how cheap food is here. I would say look up the Michelin guide for Singapore and try to check them off your list. Singapore is home to the CHEAPEST 1 Michelin star food in the world. Here is the website
Administration
US citizens do not require a visa to enter Singapore but please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months.
We recommend coming a day or 2 before to get used to the heat and also the time difference. Ideally take a red eye and land in Singapore morning and try to stay awake the rest of the day. That’s how we’ve usually dealt with the jet lag
